Balkan Myth Busters
Balkan Myth Busters was a two-year project that brought together 8 organizations from Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia, Northern Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece, Albania and Germany, coordinated by the Volunteers’ Centre of Vojvodina and GAIA Kosovo. The aim of the project was research and education on the impact of myth-based propaganda on the formation of collective identities at the national or ethnic level.
The project contributed to the creation of counter-narratives to one-sided views of the world that represent the roots of nationalism and hatred. The main activities were: a research on myths and their impact on identity formation; a training for youth workers held in Tavankut; a youth exchange in Velika Hoča/Hoçë e Madhe.
