Long-Term Volunteering
The most common forms of international long-term volunteering (the term we use the most often for volunteering lasting between 2 weeks and 12 months) in which you can participate with VCV are projects within the Service Civil International network or projects within the ESC – European Solidarity Corps, formerly known as the EVS – European Voluntary Service, as well as volunteer exchange projects under the French and German government’s Service Civique and Weltwaerts programs.
All these programs are open to young people ages 18-30, while the LTV program is open to adults without an upper age limit.

International volunteering is an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills useful for personal and professional development, gain knowledge and unforgettable memories, and an opportunity to spend some time abroad, learn new languages, meet people from different countries and their cultures.
It is also an opportunity to learn more about yourself, experience an independent way of life, and to provide support to organizations that work to improve the local community. Projects are based on non-formal education and do not require certificates of language proficiency. In addition to this, previous experience within the project topic is not required.
